Should Cannabis be Legal in the NFL? We at Reef certainly think so, and so do Snoop Dogg and the former NFL stars who joined him at our NYE Weekend Event in Las Vegas. The start-studded event, presented with help from our friends at Shango, Tahoe Hydroponics, Cannabiotix, Matrix, and Dixie, is making waves in the press. Watch for more coverage in the future, but first read this writeup on Cuepoint by our friend Mike Pizzo.

Ricky Williams, Eugene Monroe, Eben Britton, and Gerome Sapp, as well as Dr. David Nathan of Doctors for Cannabis Regulation, the beneficiary of the event, share tales of prescription drug abuse in the NFL. They know that cannabis has the ability to address the underlying medical issues in a safer, more effective manner, which is why they joined forces to raise awareness of the life-changing medical properties of cannabis and push for reform of NFL rules blocking its use by players. They were joined in the effort by Snoop Dogg, a well-known cannabis advocate and lifelong football fan.

Reef CEO Matthew Morgan also weighs in on some of the opponents of marijuana legalization, wealthy businesses protecting their own interests by standing firmly on the wrong side of history.

All in all it was a great event for a great cause, and Reef was honored to be a part of it. Look out for what comes next at a Reef location near you.
